Lunchtime Co, a contract caterer serving over 150 schools in London and East Anglia, has partnered with Zupa to implement the Caternet software system.

Lunchtime Co, a contract caterer specialising in education and currently serving +150 primary and secondary schools in the London and East Anglia has entered into a multi-year agreement with software provider Zupa. Dissatisfied with the support and service from their previous system provider, Lunchtime Co selected Zupa's Catering Management System, Caternet, earlier this year following an extensive tender and sales process. Following training sessions, site-level teams have successfully adopted the new system processes since returning from the half-term break at the beginning of June.

Neil Shayle, COO at Zupa, commented on the project,

"From our first meeting with the Lunchtime team, we were thrilled to be able to collaborate with Joel and the team. Their clear goal and objectives facilitated a smooth planning and implementation process. We are delighted to have successfully completed this mobilisation project at the operational level and are proud to have Caternet as a critical system for another educational contract caterer."

Joel Thomson, MD at Lunchtime Co, expressed his satisfaction with the project, stating,

"Having completed an extensive tender process with support from My Purchasing Partner, we entered into a contract with Zupa for Caternet. The product is fantastic, and I have had great feedback from the senior team and development chefs, as well as our Chef Managers in our schools. Everyone has said how user friendly the software is. The support from Neil and his wider team has been second to none. They have been proactive from day one, kept to all their promises and exceeded all expectations. They have also been really adaptable to our specific needs. It really has been a true partnership approach. I would highly recommend Caternet via Zupa to other contract caterers."

Lunchtime Co is a significant addition to Zupa’s client portfolio, further extending Caternet’s presence within contract catering, particularly in the education sector. The project encompasses comprehensive purchase-to-pay (P2P) processes, stock management, recipe creation, meal number recording, and financial integrations.
